Wow - I mean OW!
So I just discovered that sitting on an oversized exercise ball for 4 hours while working on a craft project is not, in fact, as comfortable as it feels while you are sitting there. Turns out that you are in fact doing the equivalent of a wide-legged squat (with support of course) for 4 hours and the muscles along the sides of your legs and your rear will be quite sore from the prolonged balancing. OW!

Ode to my fat
Adipose why won't you leave - I'm not so nice for you to stay with. I feed you then starve you, rest you than work you out and you seem to only stay and invite your closet friends & relatives to move in. I'm not that nice so GO AWAY already.

Sadness
I am frustrated by my apparent lack of willpower and general lameness about how I have (not) taken care of my body. Bellydancing is a good workout but jeepers I don't think I should be ready to fall over. I managed to eat O.K. today but I still need to scale back (you know so the scale can roll back).
On the plus side, today's bellydancing was better than yesterday's - I think that I felt better during the workout and looked less like a beached hippo doing the routine.
Bottom line - got to keep going!

Belly Dancing is NOT a Workout!
NOT! I whined & cried to just please go back on the treadmill or elliptical. I hurt in places that I forgot existed. If someone other than my sister in crime had seen me they probably would have thought I was having some sort of seizure. And I am going to do it all again tomorrow... yeah (heavily laced with sarcasm).
I have not met my water intake goal nor have I had the *healthiest* of snacks this week BUT I did manage to take my vitamins every day so woohoo!
Another week and another set of goals:

- Work out after work 3x this wek.
- Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.
- NOT go to a fast food restaurant this entire week (Starbucks & Sweet Tomatoes don't count)

Day 3 - Really!
So we go to work out today (feeling a little bit beat up) and we did some light cardio followed by free weights and stretching. We were informed mid-stretch that we can no longer use the room nor equipment because we have not been "trained" nor have we signed the waiver. Really? Are you kidding me? I'm not jogging and/or sprinting - hell I'm barely plodding along. It's pretty much impossible to injure myself nor would I sue if I injured myself out of stupidity. I just want to make my fat rear less fat.
My sista-friend and I will persevere. Back up plan (aka. Operation - NOT GIVING UP) is in the works in the form of some personal free weights and workout DVDs until we are again allowed to use the gym.
The scale showed some progress today (yeah!) but I am hesitant to celebrate too much lest tomorrow bring disappointment.

Day 2
Despite a long day of staff development and a harrowing experience registering my daughter for first grade, my partner in crime and I still worked out today! I am a little *sore* from yesterday but not so sore that I can't walk correctly :). I am looking forward to being able to go faster on the treadmill and the elliptical and MUST remember to bring water tomorrow. I have done a little better overall today with water and healthy snacks.

The Fat Must DIE!
I am on a mission (along with another fabulous Gemini) to lose my fat and get healthy! For those of you who see me regularly, encouragement is helpful, chocolate is not :). Once I hone my blogging skills, a biggest loseresque chart will appear documenting my progress. In the meanwhile, I will prattle on about my progress, my frustrations and hopefully my success!
